INFORMATION ON THE GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION

 

 

RULES FOR PROCESSING PERSONAL DATA

 

Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation), referred to in the following as ‘the GDPR’, came into force on 25 May 2018. The purpose of the GDPR is to harmonise data privacy laws throughout the European Union.

What follows here is information on the processing of your personal data by ALUPROF SA and the rules we have applied for processing them since 25 May 2018.

WHY DO WE PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

To carry out sales
If you use a configurator, the ALUPROF SA partners to whom your request is addressed will use your data for the purpose of preparing a quotation and establishing a business relationship, pursuant to Article 6 1 (b) and (c) of the GDPR. A contracting party’s/potential contracting party’s data are disclosed solely to local commercial partners, authorised ALUPROF SA staff members, external companies providing services for ALUPROF SA’s website and, where justified, to external entities involved in providing ALUPROF SA with legal services. When a user operates in an area served by one of ALUPROF SA’s subsidiaries, the staff of the subsidiary may also have access to the user’s data. The user will be informed of this. The areas include third countries, as defined in the GDPR, namely, the United States, the United Kingdom and Ukraine. The data provided in the forms available at dom.aluprof.com will be processed by ALUPROF SA for a period of three years from the date that the request is sent.

In order to ensure the functionality of the ALUPROF SA website at dom.aluprof.com, we process your personal data on the basis of Article 6 1 (a), (b) and (f) of the GDPR. This relates, in particular, to providing you with the possibility of:

  • using our request forms;
  • using our product configurators.

For marketing purposes
In addition, we obtain data on the use of the www.home.aluprof.com website by using cookies. These data are processed on the basis of your consent, which is given in accordance with Article 173 of the Telecommunications Act.

WHAT DATA DO WE COLLECT?

The personal data we collect is essential to our provision of services and depends on the purpose for which it is processed. One example would be the minimum data we require you to provide in a configurator in order to for us to prepare a response to your request.

WHO DO WE PROVIDE YOUR PERSONAL DATA TO?

In order to achieve the above-mentioned goals, we may transmit your personal data to:

  • local commercial partners of ALUPROF SA, at your specific request;
  • authorised staff members and associates of ALUPROF SA;
  • the company handling the provision of our website and its maintenance;
  • certain people carrying out regulated professions, such as lawyers and auditors.

At the same time, ALUPROF SA would like to inform you that the Grupa Kęty SA Capital Group companies, of which it is one, may have legitimate interests in transmitting your personal data within the Capital Group for internal administrative or financial purposes. HOW LONG DO WE PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA FOR?

We store your personal data either for the period required by the applicable law or for another period, depending on the purpose we are processing it for. This applies, in particular, to:

  • the data obtained from configurator forms. These data will be stored for a period of three years from the date that the request is sent;
  • data on the use of the www.home.aluprof.com/ website, in accordance with our privacy notice.
